This is the premier spatial computing headset on the market today. It's great hand tracking, wide FOV and comfort make it a joy to use.

Calum WebbI had no idea this had ever been released, I was so excited to see it at the Microsoft events. Are you able to also play VR games and use universal VR programs or only if they've been made available to the Hololens?

Jake SteinermanYes, it started to ship in November. The HoloLens is an AR headset, so it runs augmented/mixed reality applications built for UWP. There's a limited number of apps available for it on the Windows Hololens App Store, but a great dedicated developer community working on apps for the enterprise for it (including my company). This doesn't run VR experiences, like an Oculus device.

Calum WebbOh great, thanks for the info! That's really exciting. Any insight into what you the focus of the apps you and your company are working on for the Holo Lens or is that 🤫?

Jake SteinermanWe have a focus on enterprise/industrial use case applications for AR, but our AR platform Vuforia is also what powers 50%+ of all AR apps on the market ptc.com/en/products/augmented-reality

Jake SteinermanIt's great - in no small part because of the amazing support from the developer community around the MRTK

Jake SteinermanLots of things! From product visualization to service/maintenance/training. I want to get remote desktop running on it so I can use my Windows PC on an infinitely large virtual screen :)
